Steve Krenzen:

Steve is the Director of Safari Guides and is based in Cape Town, South Africa. He maintains a personal relationship with all APSG Professional Guides and is in contact with the guides on a regular basis. Steve feels it is very important for any prospective client to know that the orginization they are dealing with has first hand experince on the ground in Africa. He spends a good portion of of his time Exploring new areas of prospective travel sites throughout the African Continent. He works out of APSG's African office which is located in Cape Town, South Africa. Steve is also avaiable as a Guide/Escort and his speciality is leading our Expeditions.

Safari Guides to Botswana :
Ralph Bousfield

Ralph is a third generation professional guide operating and specializing throughout Botswana . He was born in Tanzania and with his father they migrated to the Kalahari Desert area of Botswana and started their own Safari operation. Ralph is involved in film production throughout Africa.
Graham Hemson (asst.)

He is a graduate of Oxford University with advanced degrees in Botany and Zoology. Graham is currently working on a special resource project to track the elusive desert lion in the Kalahari. He has a microlight aircraft for his transport to tag and track the lions.

Peter Comley

Peter has guided professionally for 22 years. His interests and knowledge are extremely varied on a broad range of diverse subjects. Peter has a reputation for exploring remote and previously "unopened areas". Peter and wife, Salome, have written three guidebooks on Botswana/Namibia and is also a widely published author, photographer, poet.

Cobra

Cobra is from a small local tribe of bushman located in the Kalahari. His instincts are as close to animals as any human can be. Don't miss a walk with him.

Ashraf decided to combine his tour leader qualifications and his love for the desert to establish him as a professional tour leader. His extensive knowledge of the Sinai Peninsula and the Western Desert make him an ideal companion and guide to the unknown areas of Ancient Egypt.
Hassan Nassar

Hassan has 15 years experience as a Professional Driver/Guide in the deserts of Egypt . He much prefers leaving the big cities behind and turning towards the vast open spaces of the Great Sand Sea or the White Desert . Hassan is a member of the Bedouin Tribe, the oldest desert tribe in existence today.

Calvin, a fourth generation Kenyan grew up in the bush, gaining experience with wildlife from Glen, his father and Bajila, his father's tracker. From the age of 15, Calvin began guiding clients on game drives and walks from the family lodge in the Mara

Born and brought up in Maasailand, John brings us a wealth of knowledge of the areas cultures and traditions. He is highly educated. quietly entertaining, and undoubtedly one of the best Masaai professional guides in the business, John joins us with over 10 years of experience working with some of the best Safari businesses in Africa.
Joe Charleson

Joe is on of APSG most popular Guides because of his relaxed nature and his vast knowledge of the bush. He operates from APSG's semi-permanent tented camp 15 kilometres outside the Masai Mara. Operating outside the park borders gives Joe and his clients the flexibility of tracking game of foot and night game drives.

Shaun
 
After gaining experience on a private game reserve in South Africa, Shaun started to operate mobile camping African safaris across Southern Africa, covering from the Cape to Nairobi, Mozambique to Namibia. Shaun's specialties are Safaris that cover the history and exploration of Southern Africa, Ornithology, wildlife behavior and indigenous cultures.
Bruce Taylor

Bruce has always excelled in organizing and leading varied itineraries in Southern Africa . He has travelled extensively via bicycle, canoe and 4X4 expeditions to Kaokoveld in Northern Namibia . His specialty is exploring very remote undiscovered areas in Mozambique .

Ian Coulson

Ian studied in Cape Town then returned to Namibia where he obtained the top 'National Guide' qualification for African Safari guides. His particular interests are in ornithology and off-road driving to get into the really special and remote areas of Namibia .
Penny Scott

Brought up in Cape Town , Penny developed an early interest in the natural environment of Africa , leading to her decision to study zoology to Masters Degree. She has done wildlife research projects on behalf of her University as well as working with a study project in Kaokoland (North West Namibia).
Uanee Karuuombe

Uanee was born in Northern Namibia and is a member of the unique Himba tribe. He has great enthusiasm and drive which led him to leave his home and work for the government for several years before joining Save the Rhino Trust as a rhino tracker. He now worked as both camp manager and assistant guide for APSG.

Marios Kingi Mollel

Marios resides in the village of Engiaresero, located in the Lake Natron area of Northern Tanzania . Marios leads Donkey Safaris from Lake Natron to Ngorongoro Crater and is one of the most experienced Masai Guides in Tanzania . He can also lead you for a serious climb up Oldonyo Lengai ( Masai Spiritual Mountain )
Mamoya Muhindo

Mamoya is a member of the Tatoga tribe of Tanzania . Mamoya will take you to very remote villages that are rarely visited by travelers. He will also take you to his own home which is made of mud and thatch. He has an excellent relationship with the Hadzas Bushmen Tribe in the area and acts as the interpreter for them.
Peter Fox

Peter lives full time in Ruaha National Park in Southern Tanzania where he runs the families River Lodge. The area has some of the most magnificent Game viewing in Southern Tanzania . Peter is also a licensed pilot. Join Peter for a walk in the bush of a flight over the Southern area.
Moses Swwai

Moses was born on the slopes of Mt Kilamanjaro. He has been a guide with our company for 3 years, although he has over 8 years experience in total. Prior to that Moses worked as a Mountain Guide. His favourite places to take clients are the Serengeti, Manyara and Ngorongo national parks. His area of expertise is birds and cats, though his favourite animals are the massive African elephants.
Bernard Shirima

Bernard has been a driver/guide for 9 years. He is Regarded as one of the most charming and knowledgeable guides on the Northern circuit, Bernard rates the Serengeti National Park as his favourite place to take clients. Although his favourite animal is the Cheetah, Bernard is an expert on the numerous bird species .

Paul Golding

Paul has a keen interest in Birds and has led many Safari's in search of Uganda's ever-burgeoning bird list of over 1000 species. He also leads sport fishing safaris in search of Africa's largest freshwater game fish-Nile Perch. Paul is a photographer and his work has appeared in various periodicals featuring Africa. He has lead hundreds of clients to the Western area of Uganda to observe the Mountain Gorillas.
Mark Harvey

Mark is a third generation Zambian and starting with his infamous grandfather, Sir Gore Brown. He is a licensed, trained Professional Guide leading Safaris in the North Luwangwa Park. Mark is involved in several community projects including the building of schools and clinics for the local people. He also speaks Bemba.
Nick Aslin

Nick has become involved in recent years with Zambia 's tourist industry; he is the founding chairman of the Luwangwa Safaris Association and sits on the Tourism Council of Zambia. With these responsibilities and his involvement in local community issues Nick enjoys taking guests walking in the bush.

Leon Varley

Leon, a qualified Professional Guide for 22 years, was among the first guides to qualify in the post independence period. Leon has served as an Army Tracker, Miner, Prospector, Farmer, Journalist, Forestry Game Ranger, Tsetse Control Officer and Para Medic. He leads Game Tracking Safaris in Hwange and Chizarira.
Obert Sibanda (asst.)

Obert is a first class tracker, on a Walking Safari your tracker is the person who goes out in front of the group in search of the big game. The trackers instincts and eyesight are simply amazing to observe. Quiet and unassuming but very professional, he is a valuable part of the company.
James Varden: Professional Guide - Director Natureways

James has been a Professional Guide for 12 years and primarily operates in the Mana Pools area along the Zambezi River . In addition to being a Professional Guide, James is also a Canoe Guide leading trips on the river. His specialty is leading Game Tracking/Walking Safaris and Horseback Safaris.
Shine Siamkwari:

Shine has worked as a boat Captain on Lake Kariba . Shine holds a Launch Master certificate. He works as a Canoe Guide and holds a Zambian tour Guides license. Shine is working on obtaining his full Professional Guides license.
Daryl Martyn: Professional Guide - General Manager

Daryl's grandfather was a Warden of Matopos National Park. Daryl started his guiding career as a learner guide. Amongst his duties, Daryl learned about animal capture and the hand-raising of orphan animals such as Lions and Elephants. Daryl was also involved in the reintroduction of these animals to the wild.
