Day 02  On arrival in Johannesburg we will take a free shuttle to our airport hotel for overnight .

OKAVANGO DELTA

Day 3,4 - Transfer back to the airport for our flight to Maun , Botswana . On arrival in Maun, we board a private aircraft and fly over the delta - this low-level flight offers wonderful opportunity for aerial photography. Covering an enormous area, the Okavango Delta is formed; as a result of nature playing tricks on what otherwise would be the barren Kalahari Desert .
Discover the mystical mazes of the reed waterways in canoes poled by expert Ya Bei (river bushmen) who know every twist and turn of the Okavango . Float silently through the crystal clear waterways past fringed islands teeming with bird life, a land where time has stood still. Crocodile and hippo are seen regularly, bird life is mesmerizing. Return in the evening to our camp. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

MOREMI GAME RESERVE

Day 5 to 7 - Today we transfer to the Moremi Game Reserve to spend the next few days in Botswana 's Top game viewing area. Wildebeest, elephant, giraffe, lion and zebra abound. The area is an unusual mix of land and water, which provides the opportunity to observe an incredible variety of flora and fauna. Game viewing is done by 4x4 vehicles or motorboat. Catch lions prowling among a large herd of elephants. Hear the laugh of hyena and drive up to a water hole where we can catch hippo playing. Explore an open trail, tracking game in this remote area. As the sun sets another world awaits as the sights and sounds of the nocturnal bush come awake.  Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

MAKGADIKGADI PANS GAME RESERVE

Day 8,9 - From Moremi we board our charter to Makgadikgadi Pans, one of the largest prehistoric lakes in the world.  It is located about 60 miles east of Maun and is a 1660 sq mile tract of pans, grasslands and beautiful savannah. Jack's Camp, located on a tree and palm covered island which overlooks the vast golden grasslands to the game reserve, is our oasis for the next two nights. From our camp we will explore undocumented archaeological sites and discover early hominid settlements and visit the historical baobabs where Livingstone, Selous and Baines camped, on night drives we will hopefully get a chance to view unique desert wildlife including brown hyena, aardvark and aardwolf. During the day we will take walks with Bushman trackers to observe gemsbok, meerkat and springbok.  Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

CENTRAL KALAHARI RESERVE

Day 10 to 13 -  Today we fly on to the Central Kalahari Reserve, home to about 3000 Bushmen living a semi-traditional lifestyle. There are now no Bushmen living a true nomadic lifestyle but, the language and tradition are still very much intact. This is mostly due to the fact that spiritual relationships and contact between communities are still very strong through language and trance dance.
Our stay with the Joan/Huansi people in the Central Kalahari Reserve will give us a chance to experience firsthand how they live day to day. We will gather and prepare food with the women and hunting preparation with the men. The ultimate Bushmen experience will be the Trance Dance performed by experienced Healers. This clan also has the last drum healer to still practice in Botswana .

Day 14 - Fly back to Maun and then on to Johannesburg for your return flight home.
