Exclusive 6 Night Walking Safari - South Luangwa National Park

Walking safaris are Zambia's signature product and were pioneered in the Luangwa Valley. This exclusive 6 night safari in the world famous South Luangwa National Park is the perfect introduction to the ultimate wildlife experience.

A walking safari is led by an armed wildlife scout and an experienced safari guide who work in unison to interpret the sights and sounds of the bush, bringing it alive and revealing the wonders of nature. Your senses and awareness of nature are heightened and the feeling is one of intense appreciation for the beauty of this wonderful land.

Accommodation is provided in luxury lodge and bush camp accommodation which has been carefully selected by us for their international reputation, exceptional standards and breathtaking settings to ensure a truly memorable safari.

It is possible to conduct a walking trail between the camps or stay the entire time at one camp - we will tailor make an itinerary according to your preference. The bush camps range from the traditional, rustic grass thatch chalets to luxurious walk-in safari tents all offering fantastic walking safari experiences in one of Africa's most outstanding wildlife sanctuaries.

Travel Recap:
Day 1 - 5 On your arrival in Lusaka you will be met by a Voyagers' representative and transferred to the domestic departure lounge for your onward flight to Mfuwe. At Mfuwe airport, you will be met and transferred by a staff member from your Lodge where you will spend your first night.

Following afternoon tea you will depart on one of the famous Luangwa night drives taking in the last of the daytime animals and observing the emerging nocturnal species by spotlight. Return to the lodge in the early evening for dinner.
 
After a light, early morning breakfast you will have a game drive transfer by open safari vehicle to one of the your bushcamp  Enjoy 4 wonderful days in a beautiful and remote region of the park surrounded by Africa, absorbing nature's marvelous healing qualities - the ultimate "wilderness therapy".
You will arrive at your bush camp in time for a delicious lunch followed by a "traditional" safari siesta.   Afternoon tea will then be served before a leisurely walk with your safari guide and scout .  Return to the camp at dusk to enjoy a sundowner and a delicious dinner under the stars. Then relax around the campfire to the sounds of the African night.
 
Enjoy 2 nights at this Bush camp before moving on to one of the other bush camps to enable you to experience different terrain.   Each camp is unique and beautiful in its own way. It is possible to walk between some of the camps if you prefer the classic style of the original walking safari.
Day 6 Transfer back to your Lodge for your last full day of game viewing and a chance to relax around the pool.
Day 7 After an early morning drive you will enjoy another hearty breakfast before proceeding to the airport for your flight to Lusaka and your onward journey.
