Depart your US home city on your journey to Africa. |
| Day 2 |
Arrive in Dar Es Salaam and connect to your 10:30a.m.flight to Ruaha National Park. On arrival you are met by your local hosts and game driver for 45 minutes to the lodge. Afternoon game drive included today.

| Day 3 |
Today you will have the choice of either a morning and evening game drive with lunch back at the lodge or a full day game drive with picnic lunch.

| Day 4 |
Ruaha National Park has a wealth of different habitats to explore, from grassy plains, escarpment woodlands and rocky kopjes. Hippo pools and an abundance of bird life make for many alternative game drives. Alternatively, you can take a guided walk (supplement) along the river with a lift back once you reach your destination.

| Day 5 |
Fly from Ruaha to Katavi (Mondays and Thursday). The flight takes just over 2 hours.
Katavi is one of the remotest parks in Tanzania and one of the few remaining tracts of African wilderness. On arrival you will transfer to the tented camp and relax in your surrounding before an afternoon game drive.

| Day 6 |
Today you have the choice of morning and afternoon game drives, or a full day game drive in the park with picnic lunch.

| Day 7 |
With the highest concentrations of hippos and crocs in all of East Africa, Katavi has astounding concentrations of game on the plains. Take a full day, or morning and afternoon game drive to explore this park .Overnight: KATAVI WILDLIFE CAMP [B, L, D] |
| Day 8 |
Choice of morning and afternoon game drives or full day game drive with picnic lunch.

| Day 9 |
Fly from Katavi National Park to the Selous Game Reserve. Your flight departs at 10:45 a.m. The plane swoops over the Rufiji River on its approach to landing, a dramatic arrival to the World Heritage Site and one of the largest Conservation areas in Africa. On arrival you are met by your local hosts and transferred to camp, a short drive, leaving plenty of time for an afternoon game activity.

| Day 10 |
The main feature of Selous is the sprawling river system with linked lakes and channels. The days activities are planned the night before and you can choose between walking, boating or vehicle safaris. Selous is the only location in Tanzania where boating safaris are possible and they are an exciting alternative to the vehicle.

| Day 11 |
Today you have the option of a full day safari in the Selous with picnic lunch or morning and afternoon safaris, returning to camp for lunch.

| Day 12 |
After a full morning game drive ending at the airstrip (picnic lunch provided) you will depart at 1:45 p.m. on your flight back to Dar Es Salaam, arriving late afternoon. |
