| Day 1 |
You will be met on arrival at Johannesburg International Airport and assisted with your rental vehicle pick up.
Your travel representative will give you an information pack with detailed directions, maps and other information that might be of assistance on your self-drive tour. Drive to Pilgrim's Rest, a +/- four to five hour-drive. The Royal Hotel has been impeccably restored, to reflect true late Victorian style. It is perhaps one of South Africa's best-known hotels. This national monument is famous for its atmosphere and world-class service and facilities.

| Day 2 |
After check out this morning, self drive to Kruger Gate Lodge. This drive should take +/- two hours. Situated only 100 meters from the Paul Kruger Gate, the Kruger Gate Lodge provides you with the ideal location from which to experience Africa first-hand.

| Day 3 |
Today is at your leisure. The Kruger Gate Lodge is situated on the Sabie River. It combines creature comforts with the best of the bush. Staying at the hotel with its timber portico and raised wooden sundeck, is like being in an enormous tree-house, frequented by an exciting variety of bird species and vervet monkeys. Experience bush drives in this Private Reserve and throughout the Kruger National Park, along with open vehicle wildlife safaris and organized game trails. You may also decide to drive yourself around the Kruger National Park.

| Day 4 |
After an early breakfast and check out, and continue your self drive into Swaziland. The drive can take from three to five hours. Surrounded by mountains and forests, Foresters Arms is only a 27 km scenic drive from Mbabane in the heart of the Kingdom of Swaziland, ideally placed for all attractions.

| Day 5 |
Breakfast will be at the lodge. You will then continue your self drive toward KwaZulu Natal. The drive from Swaziland to St Lucia should take about three hours. Elephant Coast Guest House is a renowned accommodation establishment in The Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park World Heritage site. St. Lucia Estuary, the town, is the southern most entrance to the St. Lucia Wetlands system. The spacious guesthouse is situated on the verge of St. Lucia Nature Reserve and Coastal Dune Forests.

| Day 6 |
Today is at your leisure. Some optional activities could include the daily hippo and crocodile launch tours on the St. Lucia Lake system or Self Guided Walking Trails. Snorkel in the warm Indian Ocean amidst the subtropical coral reefs. Visit the Big Five Game Reserves around St. Lucia.

| Day 7 |
This morning, after breakfast and check out, your self drive takes you to Drakensberg. This is a long and very scenic drive, taking about six hours time. Sani Pass Hotel and Leisure Resort is nestled in the beautiful Mkhomazana valley at the foot of Sani Pass and is famous for its warm hospitality and breathtaking views of the Drakensberg.

| Day 8 |
Today is at your leisure in the Drakensberg. Explore this paradise of cascading waterfalls, walking trails, Trout and Bass filled streams and some of the finest San Rock Art in the country. Tours up the famous Sani Pass depart daily from the hotel either in 4x4 vehicles or on quad bikes. A number of horse rides are available and these cater for beginners, intermediate and advanced riders on well schooled and cared for horses.

| Day 9 |
Following breakfast check out of your hotel and continue to Port St Johns. This drive should take between three to four hours, depending on the number of animals you may come across while driving. Your Guest House is situated on first Beach, overlooking the great Umzimvubu River Mouth and Indian Ocean and within comfortable walking distance from town.

| Day 10 |
After breakfast this morning, check out and depart on your self drive journey to East London. This drive could take +/- four hours. The Premier Hotel King David is within walking distance of the central business district and only a short stroll from the Orient beach.

| Day 11 |
This morning, after a delicious breakfast, you will check out and self drive to Addo. Hidden within the bushveld of the Eastern Cape's Sundays River region lies the Addo Elephant Park. It is here you will find the luxurious Kuzuko Lodge. Kuzuko is a private section of Addo Elephant National Park, South Africa's third largest national park and is also a malaria-free region.

| Day 12 |
Whilst staying at Kuzuko Lodge you can enjoy day and night game drives, star-gazing through the telescope, observing the waterhole hides, and bird-watching. Recreation facilities, which are available at the lodge, include a restaurant, bar and lounge, swimming pool as well as a wellness center. The original Elephant section of the park was proclaimed in 1931, when only eleven elephants remained in the area - today this ecosystem is a sanctuary to over 450 elephants, Cape buffalo, black rhino, a variety of antelope species, as well as the unique flightless dung beetle, found almost exclusively in Addo.

Day 13

Enjoy one last optional game drive in Addo, before departing on your self drive journey towards the Garden Route. The drive from Addo to Tsitsikamma should take +/- three hours. The Tsitsikamma Lodge is situated on the breathtaking Garden Route in the heart of Tsitsikamma. It is a place of tranquility and splendor surrounded by the unspoiled natural beauty of Tsitsikamma. The lodge is found by the Storms River, and just 20 minutes away from the Tsitsikamma National Park.

Day 14

The name 'Tsitsikamma' was given to the area by the ancient Bushman ('San') people and means 'place of many waters'. Experience the natural beauty of this magnificent place. At the lodge guests can unwind around the swimming pool, enjoy the abundant bird life in the garden, relax in the lounge and games room, walk through one of the many trails, or hike the famous Striptease River Trail. You could entertain yourself with the Tree Top Canopy Tour, bungi jumping, helicopter flips and scuba diving. You can also visit the Big Tree, the Tsitsikamma National Park or Nature's Valley.

Day 15

Relax and enjoy a leisure breakfast, before driving to Plettenberg Bay. This beautifully scenic drive should take between one to two hours. Whalesong Coastal Lodge, nestled high on a hilltop above Plettenberg Bay, provides a unique blend of African influence and coastal flair. Set in beautiful surroundings the lodge offers breathtaking views of the Keurbooms River coastline and the Tsitsikamma mountain range.

Day 16

Ideally situated, Whalesong Coastal Lodge is just minutes away from the pristine beaches, golf courses and a wide range of other activities on the Garden Route including marine encounters with Dolphins and Whales. South Africans and visitors alike are delighted in Plett or "Bitou" as it is now called, by customary, unsolicited visits from dolphins that join bathers for a swim. You may also decide to join an exciting Ocean Safari. Indigenous forests encircle Plettenberg Bay with beautiful mountain ranges to the north. Knysna, one of the Garden Route's other famous towns, is only 20 minutes away and well worth a visit.

Day 17

Depart early after breakfast on your self-drive journey to Hermanus. This beautiful drive should take between four to five hours. The Windsor Hotel is situated on a cliff edge with spectacular panoramic views of the Indian Ocean below, visible from almost all its rooms. The Whales are best sighted during the months from August to November, when the much-revered Southern Right Whales are making their slow migratory pilgrimage along the coast.

| Day 18 |
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departing for Cape Town. This beautiful route, whether you take Sir Lowry's Pass or Clarence Drive, should take between one to two hours. Situated in the heart of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, The Portswood appropriately features a nautical theme throughout. The Quarterdeck Restaurant is housed in the Old Convict Station building. This beautifully restored National Monument rich in history, is the perfect setting to savor renowned breakfasts and Cape Malay cuisine.

| Day 19 |
Cape Town's world famous Table Mountain with its cable car is only a short drive away from your hotel. The V&A Waterfront with its many shops, restaurants and entertainment facilities lies within a short 2 minute walking distance from the hotel. The beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton are situated about ten minutes drive away and the bustling city centre can be reached by a short stroll.
